## Welcome to Cedar Valley Golf & Country Club Originally established as Sherwood Golf & Country Club in 1968, Cedar Valley began as a nine-hole golf course and was renamed Cedar Valley Golf & Country Club in 1997. Although the club has had several owners throughout its history, it has always remained a family-run business committed to providing a welcoming, friendly atmosphere for golfers, families and guests of all ages. Today, Cedar Valley is proud to be a full-length, regulation 18-hole golf course, complete with a driving range and practice facilities. We offer a fully licensed clubhouse and restaurant, golf tournaments and leagues, a variety of membership options, power cart rentals, golf lessons, junior programs and much more. Beyond the golf course, our 3,000-square-foot Cedar Valley Event Pavilion provides a beautiful and versatile setting for weddings, celebrations, corporate gatherings, community events and other special occasions. Meet Rick Carr, Owner and Operator
Rick Carr has worked in the golf course and landscaping industry for more than 42 years. He began his career at age 14 at Lombard Glen Golf Club, where he spent 10 years gaining hands-on experience in golf course maintenance, irrigation installation and course construction. While working at the golf course, Rick attended St. Lawrence College and earned a diploma in graphic design. After graduating, he chose to continue pursuing his career in the golf industry while also establishing a landscaping business. In 2004, Rick purchased Cedar Valley Golf & Country Club. Since then, he has continued to develop and improve the property, drawing on decades of practical experience in golf-course operations, turf management, landscaping, irrigation and construction. Under his ownership, Cedar Valley has grown from a nine-hole course into the full 18-hole golf, dining and event destination it is today.
